Pros

working with kids and tutoring them is always fun, if you enjoy this, you're going to enjoy this aspect of the job

Cons

- each mathnasium is self owned/operated, meaning that your experience and my experiences may vary greatly - we were underpaid (14 an hr, and that was after it got bumped up after people left due to wage issues) - unprofessional owner (again, depends on the mathnasium you work at, i didnt have great experience with mine) - you're expected to work with multiple kids at the same time (help one when they need help, and then the other), this is a great idea on paper, but has never worked in real life. you're much more likely to have kids yelling at you to help them rather than quietly waiting for their turn. this in turn results in annoyed parents that their kids were not properly helped during their time there. but again, the centre i worked at was always understaffed, and we always had to juggle many kids at the same time.

Pros

Expectations were very clear, and the staff provides a lot of guidance to new tutors.

Cons

Tutoring was a bit difficult in the online format, especially when trying to write on the screen. There were some technical difficulties.
