No company is perfect, but I will echo some of the cons that have been listed. Our PTO structure could really use some work. 10 days off for 0-3 years service is not enough. I want to grow with Maverick, and even surpassing 3 years, the current PTO structure still does not serve the employees well. Give more days off. The employees that are rested will continue to put out extraordinary work. Like someone said in their review - there is very “little downtime”. Those with children, people with chronic illnesses, single parents – just to name a few, cannot juggle the errands, emergencies, doctor appointments, etc. and still have enough days to themselves to reset and relax. They are using PTO just to do “life” things. The work/balance is not there. We are not asking for unlimited PTO or complete work from home but please take this into account.
It’s easier for remote employees to juggle this work/life balance as they do not need to commute, and popping in and out of work from appointments/errands/emergencies is MUCH easier for them. I do not live close, and commuting to and from appointments to heading back to work can take a couple hours. Maybe allow hybrid tiers depending on commute mileage. A day or two a month depending on if the role allows wfh. So a person can get an appointment done and then go home to finish their day and not need to add in the commute time.
MLK or Juneteenth are not recognized as paid holidays here and that is an issue. I know it’s up to the company’s discretion for federal holidays, but please re-consider as we are a melting pot of people here.
