Pros
so far they have treated me really good. I really really like that part time employees get benefits as well… That is amazing and I am grateful. I also like that they do not pay minimum-wage and start people at a decent wage someone can actually live on. Yesterday I had an absolutely terrible day from morning until night and because of public transportation it took me two hours to get to work and because they had a bad fall last night on my way home from work I could not attend today & they have been very understanding and working with me. Also because of my disability and I am in the final stages and preparing for a court hearing, I cannot make over $1000 per month so they are willing to accommodate not scheduling me over that & they are working with me to accommodate that as well so so far I have had a very pleasant experience and really enjoy the people and working there and how they treat their employees. I have always felt that an employee regardless full-time or part-time should receive benefits and Maverick does that and that is really neat because benefits are very much needed. And I absolutely love the benefits packages. It's BIG & generous. That is so needed right now & they seem to be offering all the things I need. It's really cool!!!
Cons
schedules me Sunday mornings when public transportation is limited & I don't want to work mornings at all & they knew that before hiring me. Also told them I have my kids every other weekend & this weekend, but I was willing to work weekends, just not when I have my kids & not both weekend days & they scheduled me both days this weekend with my kids anyway. I also told them I can not guarantee being on time for morning shifts because of transportation & have always since childhood had difficulty waking up early & they scheduled me not only a morning shift, on the weekend with my kids, but on a Sunday when transportation is an issue.
