Pros

Pay is decent and projects have potential

Cons

Pay is rarely on time. Ethics and culture are embarrassing. Prepare to be patronized if you question anything. Do your homework on these guys. If you only care about pay (if you get it)this is the place for you. They will talk you up all day about new projects that never materialize.

Pros

- You get to be around extremely talented fellow contractors - The leadership has enormous amounts of experience and industry insight and access - If you are driven and proactive, the leadership will invest in your success - You are generally positioned for high-impact/high-visibility work for the client. I certainly recommend them and have sent my talented contacts this way.

Cons

- Some times the clients work with unexciting technology. But the projects are always high impact (and thus occasionally high-stress)

Pros

MaxSam Partners is an extremely dynamic company that takes great care of its employees/consultants. Although the process of on-boarding can be informal at times, this company really prizes it's pool of talent and rewards them with many interesting opportunities. If you have interests that lie outside of your direct role, there is a good chance that you can reach out and gain experience there, meaning this is a company that really rewards you for taking chances and trying to solve problems. For employees that naturally think this way, you're bound to be impressed!

Cons

You have to be able to adapt to aggressive changes, both in terms of opportunities but also expectations. This is not a company well suited for those who want to do the same thing every day, but rewards those that are flexible by entrusting them to do many challenging things. The 'consultant mindset' will serve you well here, and I'd call it out as a requirement for long-term success.
