Pros

You will get experience like no other. If you are interested in special education or autism, this is the place to start your career. There is a good team atmosphere. The rewards of building bonds with the students and seeing progress is a feeling like no other.

Cons

There is a high level of physical management of the students. Yes, people get hurt. Yes, there is a high turnover of staff because people don't know what they're getting themselves into. Yes, there is a lot of paperwork. Yes, you can feel like nobody is supporting you because administrators are spread thin.

Pros

May Institute has been a great place to grow and enhance my career. I started in an entry-level position over a decade ago and have been promoted along the way to a direct-level position. They have fostered my educational and professional growth with highly-qualified supervisors and meaningful collaboration. They value employees well-being and satisfaction.

Cons

The work can be challenging, but the people are amazing!
