Corporate and upper management give lots of reasons to tell the guest "No", like constantly rotating in special items and desserts which only upsets people when they are no longer available. Having different promotions at different stores so there is no consistency. Not standing behind store managers & company policy when there is a problem with a guest, i.e. "these are the rules we follow, except as soon as a guest challenges our rules, then give them whatever they want, then go back to the rules for the next guest". They used to offer health benefits for hourly employees who worked 30+ a week, but discontinued them No reimbursement to managers for catering expenses (gas/mileage/marketing) Very little flexibility towards needs of people with families and not enough time left to spend with family after 52-55 hr work week. Vacation package seems generous but comes with lots of conditions. I feel like your usual days off should be held separate from vacation days but they combine them - if you take a three-day weekend instead of your usual two days it counts as three days of vacation time even though you were already entitled to your two days off. Communication difficult at times - you can email upper management about something and sometimes they will just never reply to you. not overlooked, just ignored. high waste, no green initiatives
