Pros

401k Match and a great Medical Benefits besides that I have NO Pros about this company as a "Delivery Driver"

Cons

*** THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE UNDER UNION regulation *** no way to get stable route - seniority always have the preference. They just need new guys to cover holidays and no show which is a lot. *** Pay and vacation are just average. After you see your paycheck it will be just a matter of time for you understand that you not making what you think Yes, if you bust your body as they push you to do so you will see a nice pay check - STOP - THINK! The way they load their trailer it completely insane! It's just a matter of time you got burn out if not injure - Only by the grace of GOD the warehouse people load the trailer properly. For the records: If your trailer if not load by the door all the time your check will NOT look as you want it PLUS you must make sure not have helpers on your truck otherwise they will take money FROM YOUR pay-check to pay the helper. *** Promotion! COME ON man! who do you think you are office staff? they don't need you for anything else but as delivery guy! As far as I know there are just a couple of dispatches that were drivers before which I believe they got hurt really bad and for avoid a lawsuit they "promoted them") *** Inconsistent hours (you will NEVER have a stable start hour because you will NEVER have a stable route) *** Management / Dispatches (OMG give a break! they have no idea about expand but heavily load the trailer so 1(one) driver can do the job of 2 so the can look good for the CEO's in save money) *** One more comment about the Management (be aware of the dispatch managers - Those guys don't give a ! for your work) *** no work/life balance at all (work at night shift 11pm - 10am is the worst time I had in my life - there are no social life with your family since you will be always sleeping) *** Always open position (Yes of course, I have worked here for about 14 months and the amount of DRIVERs leaving was insane!) *** One of the reviews here state "Best company I've worked for, I plan on retiring from here" - I can guarantee this review is from someone that work behind the desk. *** I just feel sorry for the driver's that have more than 8, 10, 12+ years in the company. They got so blind that they can't figure out a way out! *** for the records: I was a delivery driver at McLane Food Service in Houston Center Near I-45 and Belt-8

Pros

Free drinks and food from some 7 11 and turkey hill stores. And some drivers take candy to sell in their stores online to supplement mclane paying them less after every driver meeting.

Cons

Don't believe your getting 80-90k here.your getting sent to extra board where you will only make around 60k a year working 3 days a week any where from 12 hrs to 24hrs a run and no extra pay for it. The transportation department are two faced and you can bet they will lie to you. Complete scumbags oh and the blk guy want to be white guy they randomly hired from the fruit picker section as the HR department guy just picture Carlton Banks from fresh prince of bel air.
