Thanks so much for taking time to leave a review. As you know, we're a 24/7 organization, so when we calculate paid time off, we bundled together holidays, vacation, and sick time and let our team members choose how they want to use those days. So you do have sick days. Not everyone wants off the same holidays, and you can take paid time off on a holiday but still be on the schedule – which gives you your full holiday pay, pleasure regular wage, plus your overtime rate. Additionally, you can use up to 60 hours of any unused paid time off toward your hospital bill at the end of the year. We strive to be competitive, flexible, and fair to all of our team members and how we put PTO together.
As you may know, we recently completed a compensation analysis across our organization as part of our Clinical Services Career Framework. The results of the analysis helped us to ensure that our compensation remains competitive. Throughout the process, we invested significantly into our team members, as we are very aware of the importance of financial wellbeing and how it relates to the Employee Experience that we aim to deliver. This was independent of our annual performance-based increases that most of our Clinical Services team members are eligible for. In addition to getting annual pay increases four months early, ALL Clinical Services team members got an additional increase on top of that. We now have a career progression where, as you become certified (CVT or VTS), you move into more senior jobs and get pay increases. I'm not sure what your career goals are, but you should definitely talk with your manager or HR partner and they can walk you through the different ways that you can grow your career & your pay. Additionally, in the past few years we have increased our 401(k) match and in 2019, health care costs are, on average, LESS than they were in 2017. We're always looking for ways to provide more to our team members while also remodeling hospitals, buying equipment, etc. I know that Columbus recently has gone through significant remodels, which has given the team a lot more space and made the ER/internal medicine waiting room far less crowded.
I would encourage you to reach out to your manager or HR partner since it sounds like you may not have a good understanding of our benefits & opportunities to grow. Thanks!
