Pros

There some extremely intelligent doctors and technicians that are hardworking and give the best care to each patient that walks through the doors. The staff are very welcoming and are great at teaching. The technician's skills here are mind-blowing. This job wants to help build your technical skills as well as knowledge. Your PTO starts as soon as you start. Medical, vision and dental insurance are provided. You get a yearly allowance for scrubs. They offer 401k plans.

Cons

It is a 24/7 emergency hospital, so the hours can be hard on your body and mind. Sometimes it can get so busy that you won't even get a break. You have to use PTO for some holidays because MedVet does not give holiday pay for a lot of known holidays like other vets would. No lunch break pay.

Pros

The staff at the Commerce MedVet have been very supportive and helpful with teaching me the skills I was previously lacking. I got my first feline jugular blood draw and I was also given great tips about IV catheter placement.

Cons

I have no cons, the staff are very welcoming and if you want to learn they want to teach.
