Pros

Everyone seems nice and helpful. Fair compensation, along with increased pay during time differentials and weekends. You're encouraged to take breaks when there are lulls in between cases. The manager is very approachable and open to communication about any concerns, seems to truly care about the staff. Was set up with a trainer for the first few weeks, training was structured and detailed - trainer is extremely knowledgeable. Was able to choose my days/hours prior to being hired. They're taking thorough measurements for COVID such as limiting clients from entering the building, providing masks and face shields to all employees and ensuring masks are worn by everyone throughout shifts. Feels like a good working environment so far.

Cons

Calling out when sick or due to inclement weather feels frowned upon and the schedule isn't super flexible, but these feel like issues that are present in any hospital as they come with working in the veterinary field.

Everyone is super friendly. After a long work shift, I feel appreciated and that I have helped out in a way that makes everything smoother for the next shift.

Cons

After many days working at MedVet, I can't find any cons in the work environment or in my interactions with my coworkers.

Very generous employee discount for employee pets Ability to bring my pet to work with me, extra helpful on days when my dog has physical therapy appointments scheduled Good team work, everyone seems to answer questions or is willing to explain things Management checks in to see if I feel supportive or if there's anything I need

Cons

I've been at my position for a month now and really don't have any negatives at the moment.
