If team members feel uncomfortable in any situation local management, our HR partner, and regional management are always available and interested in understanding these issues and working on a resolution. We take our team member satisfaction and engagement seriously. We work hard to ensure our team members are healthy and have a safe work environment. We are always looking for new and better ways we can improve this experience. We encourage and welcome thoughts, suggestions, and ideas from team members. The last few years a lot of work and effort has been put into analyzing job descriptions, role assignment, and fair pay within our geographic area. MedVet strives to provide a robust benefit package with Medical, Vision, Dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, 401K, uniform allowance, CE Funds and scholarships, and PTO. We are constantly re-evaluating these items and making adjustments where needed. Within these guidelines every employee has the opportunity to discuss career goals with managers and obtain their help working through a plan that involves both work by the employee as well as resources and support from MedVet. MedVet New Orleans strives to lead our region in Emergency, Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Nursing, Dermatology, and Surgery services. We are constantly evaluating ways to keep team members up to date with ongoing training, continuing education, and wet labs. We recognize that we have had a drastic increase in patients this year. We are actively recruiting for many open roles throughout the process and are spending time each day reviewing applicants and interviewing to fill these open roles. Pros

The staff at the Commerce MedVet have been very supportive and helpful with teaching me the skills I was previously lacking. I got my first feline jugular blood draw and I was also given great tips about IV catheter placement.

Cons

I have no cons, the staff are very welcoming and if you want to learn they want to teach.

Pros

Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Ability to give the best care to all animals walking through the doors. Feeling like I am making a difference in Veterinary Medicine. Never a dull moment.

Cons

Can be overwhelming If you do not like fast paced environments, it may not be the best job for you.
