Pros

Great products that truly improve patient outcomes and help healthcare organizations improve employee performance and retention. Medbridges’ approach to growth is very sound and is currently going through a growth phase in terms of products and the settings that we serve. I appreciate the diligence that our CEO and our board exercise before jumping into a new market. While online learning is competitive, the market is hardly saturated and the demand for high quality content and user friendly software is there. This combination ensures that our recent investments in hiring across the organization will pay off. When you’ve worked for other start ups who aren’t sound in their strategy it can lead to unintended consequences, chaos, and ultimately layoffs. I don’t see anything like that in our near future. Our C-team are lean in their approach and they all work really hard on behalf of employees and customers. There are no big egos or management who tell you to do things they would never do. Our employees are all really dedicated to their work and truly wish to make a difference in our healthcare system and improve the health of our clients patients. Other pros: plenty of parking subsidized by the company from day 1... no waiting list for a spot. We have good office coffee and lots of great snacks and beverages to keep us going. Our benefits are affordable and on par with other companies, including a generous 401K match. For sales, we have uncapped commissions and no floor required for payment. We also invest in productivity tools for all of our teams, everyone gets a Mac, and our IT department is helpful in getting you set up on day 1. The culture of the company is collaborative, positive, and we have an HR director who’s sole job is improving culture and ensuring that we have lots of opportunities to get together with our co-workers, network, and enjoy activities outside of our workday.

Cons

Because we are so lean there is plenty of work to get done and employees can be challenged to find a way to get it all done in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. That can take a toll on employees if we’re not careful. There are some things that we need to move faster on now that we’re a bigger company.

Pros

Remote work Kind and supportive coworkers Flexible schedule for appointments/emergencies/etc

Cons

Consistently promised higher compensation 'if you just keep pushing' and doing work outside of your role, but miniscule raises regardless of the effort put in or time at the company. Recently received my highest rated performance review which acknowledged multiple projects outside my role, and was given the lowest compensation adjustment I've had since working here. 4 years with the company, 2+ years in a leadership position, and I'm not even making the median salary for a non-leadership position of my role. There are consistent excuses about why the company can't provide compensation that matches the market value for current employees despite always hiring for positions. During company events it's always about how great everything is going, yet when it's time for raises it's always "a difficult time right now"
