Pros

- people really care about improving patient lives and outcomes - my mom used the product I build when she was recovering from surgery - leadership is responsive to concerns - high expectations - good communication and relations between engineering teams and org groups, no silos - quick but thoughtful adoption of new technologies as appropriate - fully remote and geographically dispersed team, zero possibility of going back to in-office even part-time - good business fundamentals

Cons

- pay is below industry average - good plans sometimes fail to come to fruition

Remote work Kind and supportive coworkers Flexible schedule for appointments/emergencies/etc

Cons

Consistently promised higher compensation 'if you just keep pushing' and doing work outside of your role, but miniscule raises regardless of the effort put in or time at the company. Recently received my highest rated performance review which acknowledged multiple projects outside my role, and was given the lowest compensation adjustment I've had since working here. 4 years with the company, 2+ years in a leadership position, and I'm not even making the median salary for a non-leadership position of my role. There are consistent excuses about why the company can't provide compensation that matches the market value for current employees despite always hiring for positions. During company events it's always about how great everything is going, yet when it's time for raises it's always "a difficult time right now"
