Dear former Medecision team member, You are correct that Medecision had a history of prioritizing development around specific customer needs. In its first 20 years, Medecision produced care management software whose features and functions were, in fact, largely driven by the Company’s client base at that time (premium US health plans). In the last couple of years, however, we have changed dramatically -- we now serve a client base that comprises commercial and government health plans, IDNs, MSOs and ACOs. This diverse client base REQUIRES us to more formally assess market needs and prioritize them along multiple factors, so we are transitioning steadily and progressively to a strategic roadmap with all-new tools, applications and core platform components. That being said, we are also committed to delivering a “world-class customer experience” to all of our clients. That includes engaging with them closely to determine which new products, as well as which new features, they require. We will continue to manage our R & D investment to take care of current clients with new features as well as to envelop new and next-gen technologies. We wish you well in your new endeavors. We will continue to strive for excellence as we focus on both the World Class Customer Experience as well as the World Class Employee Experience.

Pros

The company's management is the best I ever worked with. They listen to their employees and do real tangible steps to creating an environment where people are valued, respected and can really make a difference. The work-life balance is great. Benefits and pay are more than competitive. Most importantly, The company seriously invests in education and training of the employees. There is very reasonable amount of bureaucracy and lots of common sense all around the place.

Cons

1. It's a fully remote company, it would be great to see colleagues in-person more than once a year. 2. It's healthcare so data protection and security measures are on a top end. Not recommended to people who love working from coffee shops and similar. Still allowed though.

Pros

The people in the middle

Cons

CEO is a brilliant idiot. High IQ but can’t find his way out of a paper bag. Parent company HCSC board needs to fire him yesterday. Should never be a CEO, just not the right seat on the corporate bus.
