Pros

While most insurance companies are for-profit, I am proud to work for a company that is not. As a mutual, we are in it with our customer, community and employees. We even have a formal program that rewards us for doing business with our customers.

Cons

There can be some red tape to get a decision made and then put into action. We should be able to be more nimble than our for-profit competition because we aren't publicly held.

Pros

So much team spirit and genuine care amount your team. Nice PTO

Cons

Leadership that cares more about their own bonuses and salaries than any employee. ELT is wildly out of touch with how employees feel about them and think of them. The town halls are essentially a butt kissing session for executive leadership. The current ELT has truly ruined this company with their classism, willful ignorance to any opinion that isn’t theirs or in their tax bracket and overall greed. Truly a shame because the staff as a whole (minus ELT) genuinely care about what they do and want to help people, and build a company that shines and is known for its ethics and dedication.
