Pros

The culture of Medix is amazing! You will seriously love a your colleagues and you truly become a family. I would often spend my weekends with these folks and honestly, I still do even though I left a few years ago. Your experience at Medix offers a great stepping stone to a world of opportunities outside of the organization and if you happen to have a passion for healthcare recruiting/sales the opportunities for growth within the organization are vast too.

Cons

This may have changed since I left but the hours were really misaligned with the salary offered - 7:30 am - 5:30/6:00 pm with a strict 1 hour lunch from 12-1. We were exempt employees that were treated like non-exempt employees without the perk of OT. The base pay was really low when I was employed - $35K (This has likely or will likely changed thanks to the Department of Labor's ruling in May that set the new threshold for exempt employees up to $47K!) We always felt guilty for taking time off or even going to the doctor because that was so heavily frowned upon. New management was taking over the Dallas office right as I left and I've heard thing are much better now.

Thank you for your review! The culture within the Medix family is certainly something we're all proud of, so we're glad to hear you're still connected with the team. We're always reevaluating hours, pay and etc. to stay competitive, but we shared your feedback with our leadership team.
