After assignment Medix won't release you to work for competitors even if they don't have another assignment for you. - Anonymous employee Medix Employee Review

Pros

A lot of hours available at times, many wonderful co-workers, paid on time.

Cons

You won't be allowed to work for subcontractors of LHI that are competitive with Medix, ie Rhino, National, Blackwell, Judge and others. Medix violates California B&P code 16600 by holding former employees hostage and preventing gainful employment elsewhere even if Medix has no available assignments...they want to keep you in their pool to the point of directing employees to file for unemployment rather than releasing them to work for a competitor who has work available. Communication is terrible, they were very hard to reach for co-workers and myself and were extremely disorganized. Pay is on the low end for the work. I urge you in the strongest terms not to work for Medix and wish I could give zero stars.
