Pros
no time clock required for clocking in, leave for the day whenever you want, occasional conf. calls reflecting how openvista solution was being purchased by new potential clients.
Cons
Their employee relations dept. is a complete joke! Upper management has no idea as to what is disclosed to employees as their legal rights much less the companies, also they have no clue as to what they're doing. If you try to file a grievance with them they will delay it as much as possible and fail to follow up with you in terms of phone calls or emails. In my case when it came to working OT and/or additional after hours during the weekend or late evenings there was always a sob story coming down the management pipeline indicating that upper management was upset because the client they represented would complain about too many billable hours and the OT factor "killing the IT budget." Never-mind the fact that myself and the Network Engineer were completing projects ahead of schedule and putting out major fires that were causing the client to be down because of occasional power outages and/or ISP outages or a drunk driver hitting a telecom central office terminal down the road taking out everything for at least 5 to 6 hours. Not one thank you given for keeping everything on the up and up.
