The medical insurance offering at the India office is disappointing. The premium charged for employee, spouse, and parent coverage appears disproportionately high compared to the coverage provided. For example, coverage of ₹7 lakh for employee and spouse and ₹5 lakh for parents costs approximately ₹1.2 lakh annually. Additionally, employees are locked into their selected plan for two years, limiting flexibility to adjust coverage based on changing needs. Compensation is below market expectations for comparable roles and experience levels. There is also significant room for improvement in HR processes and employee support, as HR management often lacks responsiveness and transparency.

Pros

Generous, old-school benefits. Almost twice the PTO as other places I've worked, excellent healthcare, 401K matching, etc. Many high-quality colleagues and a generally mellow, polite business culture.

Cons

Multiple competing bureaucracies, internal consultancies, a computer-illiterate 'stakeholder' class with permission to disrupt anything, and perverse incentives driving waste.
