      Pros

      Supporting the Medtronic Mission and interaction with some incredible employees.

      Cons

      As a large company it is cumbersome to try and gain traction on new ideas. There are many processes and procedures to go through and then it boils down to influence management. Middle level management is not always transparent with their decision making process thus creating a divide between contributors and middle level management.

      Pros

      Generous, old-school benefits. Almost twice the PTO as other places I've worked, excellent healthcare, 401K matching, etc. Many high-quality colleagues and a generally mellow, polite business culture.

      Cons

      Multiple competing bureaucracies, internal consultancies, a computer-illiterate 'stakeholder' class with permission to disrupt anything, and perverse incentives driving waste.
