      Pros

      career growth opptys, decent quality of facilities for employees to take advantage of, work life balance isn't too bad. Good mission.

      Cons

      Medtronic has become very big and slow to make decisions. Senior management of business units are slow to change the culture. Frustrating place to try to get things done, as decision making authority is held high in the org, and it's not clear WHO can make decisions.

      Pros

      Generous, old-school benefits. Almost twice the PTO as other places I've worked, excellent healthcare, 401K matching, etc. Many high-quality colleagues and a generally mellow, polite business culture.

      Cons

      Multiple competing bureaucracies, internal consultancies, a computer-illiterate 'stakeholder' class with permission to disrupt anything, and perverse incentives driving waste.
