Pros
A good place to work if you need work experience under your belt, want to work on multitasking skills, or to build your resume. The majority of fellow employees are good people and a pleasure to work with.
Cons
Was reassured upon hiring that I would be able to move up and around within the company fairly quickly due to the size. Quickly learned that this is a reality in the Merchandising side of the business but not in Product Development as it stands today (only 2 levels of positions). There is an extremely high turnover in employees in this department, over 10 of 30 people have left within the past 3 years due to issues with management and lack of an organized infrastructure. Bonuses and raises are not given to employees below manager level, even for going above and beyond the scope of the job. Be prepared to handle the bulk of the workload in this position. Is marketed as a family company because it privately owned but management's actions towards employees show it is truly a corporation through and through. Work life balance is not great.
