Pros

When you first start you can get as many hours as you want and work other employees shifts. You meet alot of new people and recognize regular customers. You learn how to avoid bad customers. Learning to operate registers and machines is simple.

Cons

This is a very high stress environment to work in. Pay is around minimum wage with rate increases every 300-700-1,000 hours put in at pay rates of twenty to fourty cents. Management and supervisors chose favorites and treat everyone else with disrespect especially if you have disabilities of any kind. Some of the equipment does not work properly. If your even one minute late you get a write up. If you get hurt off the job or have to attend to any emergency family matters you get written up if you dont show for your shift. Meijer's is not very understanding of daily life events. Prices are in correct on some items. I worked hard at my job and it did not pay off. They provide bad customer service by ignoring customers request, complaints and bad products that are either ruined, misplaced or food items that have gone bad.

Pros

- Pickup is very chill and some days you can just hang out between orders (in the evenings mostly) - You can listen to music or podcasts while picking if you can still hear people / customers (Technically it's not allowed, but you can get away with it)

Cons

- Some days can be hell, and it's very variable - It's very physically draining - The schedule is never consistent
