Pros

Privately held company who values hard work, results, and entrepreneurial mindset. Trust is the true currency at Melaleuca, and by doing the right thing that benefits the consumers and stakeholders, trust is liberally given. From a marketing standpoint, this may be the only multi-billion dollar company that I'm aware of that allows undergraduate students to have true brand marketing experience that is meaningful and real. If those looking for a publicly held position at a fortune 500 company knew Melaleuca, and the level of true Brand experience, I think people would reconsider their desired employer. Also, I came on board during the COVID-19 situation. The company has been forward thinking with precautions, accommodations, etc. I've felt safe, thought of, and respected despite not seeing my co-workers in person each day.

Cons

South East Idaho can be a cold area to live in. If people need 80 degree weather every day, this would not be the company to work for.

Pros

Great to work for, the people are kind and willing to help you with any problem you run into.

Cons

They're stingy with promotions and probably won't utilize you to your fullest capacity

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
