Pros

Residency programs for new grad RNs, ICU & ED RN. Unionized means protected worker's rights. Depending on which unit you're in, management can be supportive & helpful. Good benefits. Very diverse staff, serving a diverse patient population.

Cons

Pay rate is lower than average for Southern California. High turnover rate. Before Covid, there were more incentives and support for career advancement.

Pros

I work with some people who truly care about patient care The brand still matters within the regional industry

Cons

- Terrible new leadership who has created a toxic work environment. - Those who haven't been laid off are certainly looking for opportunities elsewhere. - They do not invest in their employees. Old equipment and laptops, deny training opportunities. - They are in a challenging financial situation and that is felt everywhere. - Massive layoffs means every team is understaffed and overworked. HR is a shell of its former self.
