Pros

- Company culture with everyone around the same age. Your relationship with your mentor/DM/team is really what makes working here fun - Good first move out of school if you don't 100% know what you're doing. They give you 15 months in the job (I hear you can stay longer, but most people are ready for the next step) before you're set-up for the next opportunity and literally encourage you to get to the next step of your career - Clients can hire you out if you like them and they like you - Training is hands-on and straight forward. Some find it more valuable than others but it's helpful to get guidance on the job from the get-go - Being able to go to = recruiting events like Career Fairs and Happy Hours. These are actually fun - Competitions between teams/offices - Field Day, Booze Cruise, Nats games, Caps games, intramural teams (kickball, basketball, softball) Christmas parties, company/team happy hours are a blast - Can get Friday's off if you are hitting your numbers - You are always working towards something. The job is tough but with the experience you'd gain here you will 100% land a much better/higher paying position - They are paying $100/month of my student loans!!! Plus they offer pet insurance

Cons

If the wrong person is hired for the job they hate it here, and hate it hard. It makes me sad to see the negative reviews from people who just weren't a fit. This position is really a "big picture" opportunity - it's entry-level sales and it's meant to help set you up for something better. Also, cold-calling isn't fun, but most sales/staffing jobs that are entry-level will have you making calls. That's just a fact. This is something they talk about in the interview process though, so people that complain about the calling on here knew what they were getting themselves into when they accepted the job. It's not that hard.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review here on Glassdoor. Your experience and insights above are in sync with what we've built at memoryBlue. Sales certainly isn't for everyone, and you're right, people that dislike the career path will be unhappy in it (as with anything). The basics in sales are tough, but the basics work. And these fundamental skills you build at memoryBlue will pay off in a big way as your sales career unfolds. One final word regarding culture advice - every office has an internal culture club comprised of all manner of current employees (SDRs, management, sales ops team members, etc). Please come join the regular Tuesday planning meetings in the Tysons office - we would love your input!

Pros

Good development for those looking to kickstart their tech sales career

Cons

Low pay, success is very dependent on what client you get. Client gets assigned to you and you have no say in the matter.
