Pros

I'm really not sure there are any pros to working at Menards

Cons

This company is the problem with this country. You are given an hourly wage, and that wage barely goes up. When it's time for a "review" of your raise, you have to quality for it. Then you have to pass some sort of test, and your raise ends up being around five cents, and if you are really smart, it's a ten cent raise. The company makes a lot of money because they dont pay employees anything. They keep there wages the same, and all the money goes to the top. Rich getting more rich, while those who actually put in the 70 hours stay the same. The company does not care at all about it's employees, and your GM/Assistant GM's treat the team members like absolute crap. I've worked at the company for about a year now, and can tell you first hand, this company is not a good place to work.

Cons

A toxic work environment can lead to termination without warning. Senior management prioritizes their interests and the company’s well-being, often disregarding employees’ rights and legal obligations. HR’s role is to protect senior management and the company, potentially at the expense of employees’ rights. Senior management continually chooses to a blind eye to wrong doing of favored employees, while knowingly prioritizing punishment of lower employees using fabricated policies that aren’t actually within store policy and procedures. Lack of accountability, lack of transparency, and lack of integrity run rampant with in the store and company. Unethical hiring practices, and weaponized incompetence to justify the out right gaslighting of your financial income and incentives. Pay deductions common place.
