Pros

They have great products. Their name is still fairly good, despite recent beatings.

Cons

They lump people together in district data, so you have no national sales ranking and no way to give another company performance data. If your district doesn't finish first or second, no one wins awards, and EVERYONE on the first place team, regardless of whether they deserve it, wins. Very weird system. In addition, they freeze the promotion ladder for YEARS at a time, so despite promises of promotions, expect to barely get cost of living increases every year. They also don't support sales very well---very slow moving responses and small budgets.

Pros

Work from home (that may not always be a perk, but it is now for writers), choice of flexible hours (7 AM - 9 AM starting), friendly, helpful people, great bosses, people very interested in their jobs, plus a lot of educational benefits, you are trained on all aspects of Merck and your job.

Cons

I cannot think of any, though sometimes work from home has its drawbacks, because the employee doesn't get all the information that an onsite employee would.
