Pros
Mercury had a technology leadership in the embedded computer space. Their leading switch fabric architecture made anyone who needed a super computer in a shoe box come to Mercury.
Cons
The leadership mentality between the executive and senior staff was much like throwing meat on the floor and watching the resulting melee. The senior staff acknowledged the onslaught of commoditization, but refused to change course to adapt.
