patients can be disrespectful and yell at you, throw things at you/assault you and you cant do anything about it and management wont either. was hired on and told that I only needed 1 year of medical experience and once that was completed I could promote to PAR 3, that was a lie. shady and disrespectful coworkers, drama, HIPAA violations, underpaid, minimal raises because the highest rating on yearly evaluations is 4/5 because we're not perfect-"only God is perfect," you rate and complete your own eval and the manager then just comments on why you aren't a 5/5. Holiday pay comes from your PTO, sad and poor clinic management, float employees get treated terribly at clinics, manager refuses OT, Mercy laid off tons of employees due to COVID and the rest of us are overworked with no compensation. manager opened up excessive phone lines (it's jamming up the network and causing phone, fax, and computer issues all on one network) with only 2 people working the front desk (answering phones-checking patients in and out for appointments-scheduling-filing-faxing-copying-screening patients for COVID at front door). manager REQUIRES you to literally CALL them to call out sick (other managers are okay with text/email). management makes up their own rules for Mercy policies, HR policies, HIPAA policies, and office policies.
