Pros
My manager had an answer for everything and I really enjoyed working with her. She was the perfect definition of someone who really knew their job well enough to teach someone with limited skills. It was my first payroll specialist position and I used a lot of the tools she provided me in my current position. The benefits were pretty good as part time employees were eligible for PTO, and it wasn't until I worked past 30 weekly hours that I was able to enroll into health and retirement benefits.
Cons
The staff was not as diverse when it came to age, most people were pretty old in my department. But around the time I left, they were hiring more people so this may have changed. Didn't meet anyone that made the job easier to get through but I was there mostly to learn and make money, and that is what I did.
