If you are a hard worker but not friends with the Director your efforts will likely be overlooked. The pay even with years of experience is shameful. The only way to get a decent raise is to look elsewhere and hope they counter a better offer. BOMs complete 90% of the accounting and 80% of all clerical work for the facility too. Most days you will do the work of two people. There are no ebbs and flows. Just a constant stream of deadlines and demands. The BOM answers more to corporate than the Director for some reason. Even though leadership is usually to blame for any shortcomings, the BOM acts as a liaison which sometimes creates tension between all three. This culture is broken as the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Add investors into the mix and it's a huge cluster!
