This week Shannon the RDO and Amy the RDC were visiting my building. As Shannon was sitting in my office, she peered out the window and saw this little old lady trying to get a big white freezer down her driveway by herself for large item pick up. The freezer fell over, and she was trying to pick it up by herself. Shannon literally jumped out of her chair and said, “let’s go”. Amy was hot on her heels. Next thing you see is another little old lady in her robe, slippers and bonnet crossing the street to help her neighbor trying to wheel over a dolly. Shannon bellows across the road, “hold on were coming hold on”. Shannon, Amy were able to get the freezer on the road for her and Shannon asked if there was anything else. The lady said there was a door to the freezer too, as soon as she said that all I see is Shannon and Amy walking towards the open garage door on a mission to get the freezer door for her too. We explained to the lady and the other neighbor who we are and that someone is always at The Landings of Kaukauna to help. To me this was a huge WOW moment because this deed wasn’t done for marketing or trying to get something in return but done out of pureness of their hearts.
