There will always be new loans to write. You will have a constant flow of mortgages to close.
Cons
You're stuck between the middle of Meritage Homes systems and processes as well as those of loanDepot. LoanDepot is not good at writing loans or providing the support needed to close loans on time. Management wanted a perfect 1003 upon application including phone numbers and addresses. This is because loanDepot wants to off load work from their processors. Meritage Homes wanted their CRM to be perfect as well causing for a lot of time filling out boxes in order to disclose buyers.
