Pros
Good money around the holidays (because of tips). Somewhat regular schedule(7:30 - anywhere between 12 and 6). Provides cleaning supplies.
Cons
Grueling work; not for older people or those not wanting to do manual labor(I've detailed cars, cleared blackberries and poison oak, and painted houses in 110 degree weather that was nothing compared to this job). Manager plays favorites so the favorites get the easy houses and short routes. Doesn't train thoroughly enough, (some videos and a day on the job) which leads to extremely high turnover. If people call out, your workload is increased by taking on their houses which does anger some customers. Doesn't do anything about thieves in the company. Undercompensates for mileage (.35/mi instead of federally mandated .57/mi) Sometimes cleaning until 6, if it's a nasty house, and the office closes at 5 so you are left with the cleaning supplies until the next day. Cut my hours to one day a week(from five days) when one customer raised a huge stink about a bathtub that wasn't cleaned correctly, which led to me leaving the company.
