Pros

Staff, cafeteria is decent. A lot of diversity which is great

Cons

After working here for some time, it’s become clear that employee safety during hazardous conditions isn’t truly a priority. When the roads are iced over, calling in due to inclement weather still results in a write-up, as if the risk to personal safety is irrelevant. It’s hard to understand the value of disciplinary action when the alternative is potentially not making it to work at all. Unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed since Snowvid, which makes the situation feel especially discouraging.

Employee safety remains a top priority at Methodist, particularly during hazardous conditions. When severe weather impacts operations, we work to communicate expectations clearly and apply our attendance policies consistently. That said, we understand individual experiences may vary, and we welcome ongoing feedback to help us better support our staff during these times. We encourage you to share your concerns directly with your leader or Human Resources so we can address them with care and attention.

Pros

Great team and a good company culture. The hospitals are also very active in the community, and they want to be proactive with patients. Every summer they do physicals for students. Taking Care of the Community isn't an official care commitment, but it's seen in the day-to-day efforts of everyone who works here.

Cons

There could be more opportunities for growth on the non-clinical side, that way we don't have to leave a system we love for leadership opportunities.
