If you have a good leader, you could learn a lot. Benefits are comparable to most health systems. Nice people.
Cons
If you have a terrible leader that let's others control them, you will be stuck at a dead-end, low-paying job.

Methodist is honored to be ranked No. 2 on DiversityInc’s 2018 Top 11 Hospitals and Health Systems list, and we worked very hard for that distinction. While we strive to have a workforce that reflects the communities we serve and one that is welcoming of diversity, skills, and talents of all groups, it sounds like that is not what you experienced. We take comments about discrimination very seriously and want to know more. If you’d like to confidentially discuss your concerns or have questions about Methodist’s opportunities to advance your career, please email us at hrcareer@mhd.com.

We're proud to hear our culture felt professional, engaging, and family-oriented during your time with us. We also appreciate your feedback regarding compensation. We understand that pay is an important part of the employee experience, and we continually evaluate our compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive while supporting our team members. Thank you for sharing your perspective, and we wish you continued success in your nursing career. Thank you for being part of the Methodist family.
Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.
Cons
More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them.
We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed.
Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
