Pros

Felt like Family from the first day I started. Like I have known these people all my life. Great working environment. It is not work when you love what you do. I have been here 6 months and I have noticed growth opportunities when you least expect them. MHS management believes in their people and develops them to take on new challenges. MHS rewards referrals, the amount is insane, most companies give you $50.00 MHS give you $750.00 to $1500.00!

Cons

Only thing I would recommend to Management would be a better PTO/Sick policy.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them. We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed. Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
