Pros

The culture at Methodist Dallas is by far the best I've experienced in my 27-year career. The president of my facility sets the standard for what a healthcare leader should be, and the employees across the network embody what it means to truly serve the community. I feel supported and encouraged to achieve all of my goals. I have waited my entire career for an organization like Methodist Health System.

Cons

Front-line employee pay can be slightly lower than other facilities in the DFW area, but the culture more than makes up for these small differences.

Pros

Money Insurance Good Boss Good coworkers Enjoyed orientation

Cons

During the orientation, they tell employees that their health is important. As health professionals, our health has to be good so we can take care of our patients and make their health better. However, Methodist Health System makes it extremely hard for an employee if they don’t have enough PTO to be able to get the help they need. So say you don’t have enough PTO but you need a doctors appointment that you have to go to. You’re gonna get a write up and those write ups eventually turn into termination. So where is the grace in the health system? Methodist would be a wonderful place to work if they truly understood their employees are human. I had someone pass away and I couldn’t even go to their funeral because I didn’t have the PTO and couldn’t afford to get a write up. I would’ve loved to have been able to go to my uncle’s funeral. Did anyone care know all you get is sorry for your loss, but you don’t have enough PTO…. So crappy. You’re BEYOND REPLACEABLE and they make sure you know it.
