Pros

Insurance, 401(k), holiday pay, 2nd shift differential, free food for cafe employees.

Cons

Was told employee doctor's appointments need to be scheduled 2-3 weeks out, although I had no way of knowing ahead of time I'd be sick -- told not to schedule a same-day appointment again. Culture sucks. A lot of complaining and negativity. Employees (not mgmt) barking orders and fault-finding with others -- as if our best efforts aren't good enough.

Pros

Overall, a pretty strong health system in San Antonio to work for! I really love Methodist's emphasis on community engagement! And their programs seem to be very uplifting and empowering for both health care employees and for patients and their families!

Cons

I think that the onboarding could be somewhat more streamlined or smoother. I have to admit that I had to do a lot of driving to different Methodist facilities to get different parts of my onboarding dashboard taken care of and completed. It would have been much nicer if some of these onboarding tasks could have been consolidated into one, two or 3 locations at most.
