      The benefits and education opportunities are the best reasons to work at Methodist Hospital.

      Cons

      The atmosphere and attitudes of the middle and upper management make it difficult for floor nurses to do their job. The lack of resources and overwhelming odds for many of the patient situations make it a daily battle for your sanity. The ultimate slap in the face is the low pay with no real opportunity for an increase any time in the future.

      Pros

      Overall, a pretty strong health system in San Antonio to work for! I really love Methodist's emphasis on community engagement! And their programs seem to be very uplifting and empowering for both health care employees and for patients and their families!

      Cons

      I think that the onboarding could be somewhat more streamlined or smoother. I have to admit that I had to do a lot of driving to different Methodist facilities to get different parts of my onboarding dashboard taken care of and completed. It would have been much nicer if some of these onboarding tasks could have been consolidated into one, two or 3 locations at most.
