Pros
Overall flexible working environment. Depending on the department the work hours might be more set but many departments are able to have flex hours and fully remote or hybrid office / remote. The benefits are great at Metronet, excellent health insurance and very good 401K match. They are good about letting employees change jobs within the company to try something new. Pretty good about promoting from within for roles such as supervisor, managers, etc
Cons
Some departments have difficult leadership and put excessive stress on their entry level associates who make far less money than the people who are asking so much from them. I was previously in a very high stress entry level position. They gave horrible raises and very small annual bonuses and stated that's all they could do. Since transferring departments I have found all of that to be false. I have been lucky to move into a department with great leadership, but they are not all equal. When it comes to roles of high value like directors / vice presidents I have seen them bring in a lot of external hires over long time employees. They taut being a diverse work culture but the senior staff is probably like 95% middle aged white men. Not a lot of women or people of color in leadership past the management phase.
