Metro-North RR generally has a good reputation with commuters. Most people have positive things to say when you tell them that you work for Metro-North RR. Metro-North is one of the largest commuter RR in the country, so industry wide it has a good reputation as well.
Cons
As with many public agencies, politics play a large role in the decisions being made. There is a large disconnect between upper management and lower levels regarding what it takes to complete a particular project or task.
