It is important to mention that assistant principals will not support you with students discipline, and if any student complaints about a teacher they will believe the student and write up the teacher, sending the record to the district. . Like most school district they only care about passing a test, so the administrators will be on top of you 5 days a week pushing you to the limit. Benefits are lousy. Miami Dade County Public School District has one of the worst teacher salaries in the nation. Run apply to other schools if you want to avoid headaches. The human resources office is also terrible; they will do their best to cut your previous teaching years to pay you less.
