Pros
Health insurance is pretty good. Tuition waiver.
Cons
They will work you into the ground for $13/hr. They do not honor past raises if the pay tier of a position changes. (My position of 6 years at the time was elevated from E1 to E2 and I lost 6 years' worth of raises because my current pay was under the new pay minimum. I now make as much as a new employee despite the time I have put in.) There is a culture of nepotism. You will only get promoted if you know someone. If you put your years in you will get considered for a job first, but that is as far as it goes. The union is useless. Inter-department communication is negligible. Students are treated like royalty and can do anything they want without any kind of repercussion, including property damage, theft, and drug use. Miami only cares about their image, so they will let things slide as long as it stays out of the public eye. All of the sexual assaults that happen on campus weekly are unpunished, but a frat makes the news for hazing and it's shut down.
