Pros
Super fast-paced environment for Replenishment Managers. It is an interesting challenge to keep up with all of the changing seasons, but it can be rewarding at times to see the transformations completed. Teamwork is absolutely important. It's fun to merchandise the new products that come in. It can be very inspiring.
Cons
The workload can be absolutely overwhelming. Huge trucks, massive amounts of overstock and not enough room or time to take care of it. Company gives a laughable amount of time to purge seasonal items to make room for new stuff. The time given for planograms is unrealistic. It doesn't account for time taken away for customer service. I get pulled to cashier, do floor checks, and go on a mad search for an item bought on our new and lovely Buy Online Pick Up In Store option. This is because the company doesn't give enough hours for floor coverage. There's just not enough hours in the day for one person to complete the amount of tasks that are demanded. It's very difficult to give my undivided attention to a customer when all I hear in my head is the time ticking away.
