Pros
The employees that remain were a pleasure to work with. Some of the products are very innovative. Very flexible and able to work from home when needed. Benefits are probably better than average and lots of paid vacation time. Micro Focus CEO seems to be someone that can gt things back on track.
Cons
Annual reorgs and layoffs destroy any potential of team and employee growth. When I first joined NetIQ, it was a fun place to work. Now there is no culture. It's just a job where you hope to hang on until something better comes along or you get laid off. No clear direction year after year from upper management and the overwhelming feeling is to milk revenue from growth areas as much as possible while investing as few resources as possible. Job loss year after year from US to India. There seems to be an "us versus them" mentality between US and India as both sides feel the need to take their own initiatives so there is a lot of animosity, especially in management.
