The work was challenging and fun working with young coworkers, but the industry is scary unstable. - Production Planner Micron Technology Employee Review

Pros

Good benefits and the pay is fair. There is ample opportunity to develop new skills and work on projects that interest you. Management does their best to communicate what is going on with everyone.

Cons

Frequent layoffs and constantly losing money, which is the nature of the industry because of too much capacity worldwide. During the Boise Fab closure the 'Good 'ol Boy' network was disgusting. The Production Manager sold friends to other managers so they would not be laid off and actually sat some of the 'younger' employees down and told us in a meeting that we were still young enough to find jobs on our own.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
