Pros

Location - close to Washington DC

Cons

Workload - a typical team is understaffed and overloaded with work. Typical complain is being unable to be on top of things. Shift personnel are untrained or lacking in ownership so they always seek first shift support or 'nod'. Management - or lack of it. Top-heavy, mostly white male. Some got their degrees from Phoenix, de Vry or some online 'school'. Management and leadership skills are acquired thru trial and error at the expense of employees. Promotion - very minimal. Needs attrition or know someone in upper management a 'la ole boys network Salary - not enough considering the cost of living here in Northern VA. Some companies in AZ offer the same salary despite lower cost of living. Business prospect - looks good ... for now. Samsung seems to be winning the business long term.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
