Pros

MCCA is filled with passionate employees. MCCA also takes very good care of its employees as it relates to benefits. The services MCCA provides specifically fill the gaps between community resources. All staff members hold true to the mission statement, and this behavior starts from the top. MCCA is committed to helping their employees grow both personally and professionally. Once you are a part of the team, they are sure to support you in all of your endeavors.

Cons

MCCA experiences frequent turnover rates. MCCA also expects a high degree of learning through "trial by fire", rather than providing direct guidance and training. If you choose to work there, be prepared for a heavy learning curve. Once you have passed this curve, there is lots of room for growth. This can be said both on entry-level and mid-level positions. Though MCCA is working to bridge programs, it currently works under a "silo system", meaning all its departments are still quite disconnected, which often confuses customers. This will hopefully be resolved within the next few years. Its leadership structure is painfully traditional where it would make more sense to embrace more equitable systems, and leadership has a tendency to hold on to projects out of fear (and often necessity, due to the high turnover rate and lack of training). This fear also prevents them from adapting. Despite good intentions, it creates unnecessary barriers to customers and employees.
